      is this still alive?i just saw this thread for the first time and its 3 months old. please let me know where i can get more info. dont know if i can do it, but im in. im sure i'll learn a lot.

        I'll consider doing a similar Strobist version if there's enough interest.
        Throw a little light. If it doesn't come back, it probably fell off...

                  Hi Everyone!

                  Hope you all had a wonderful summer. Sorry for taking so long to get the first "Reverse Engineer This" going - been out of town a lot this summer. Anyway....the first one will be held on Sunday August 30th. The shoot will be at my house where I will provide props and necessary accessories (lighting, etc.). You will use your own camera and computer to do any post processing. We will meet at noon and go for lunch first where we will discuss the "rules". After lunch, I will show you a magazine photo and the selected photographer will try to duplicate the shot.

                  The session is limited to four photographers. The first four people to sign up will get a spot for the shoot. Please reply to this thread to sign up, and make sure you can make it to the shoot before signing up. Look forward to seeing you guys/gals at the shoot!
