This one's from where Nick taught me how to under expose for the background and fill in with flash on the subject. Thanks!

                    1.

                    2. Should have closed down 3-4 stops to get the Englishman in acceptably sharp, rather than blurring him out, to help with the equal-height illusion. He was walking by and I wanted to capture the moment naturally rather than having it be set up and have him do it again.

                    3. Spot meter on the shirt works, mental -2 backlighting comp did not.

Thanks for the interesting mid-ground, Vivek!

                    4.

                    5. Head pinch.

                    6. Needed a little something to make it more than just a portrait from the ground. Subject interest.

                    7. The massive Lburk.

                    8. Ty's head, as big as a plastic 1/12th scale motorbike's front wheel?

                    9. After delivering the fatal blow to JHolz's face, Blue Power Ranger paused to reflect on what he had just done.
See my user profile for gear information. Then forget about that stuff and go take pictures! And then some more pictures!

Great job guys and gals! It was too bad I didn't get a chance to capture more shots...coz you guys don't know how silly you all looked during some of the exercises! Here are a few I shot...oh...don't forget to check the homework assignment section and post some photos showing off your new found skills!

AJ getting a head replacement and can someone photoshop out the yellow lettering on Jeff's camera strap - it's annoying?

Demonstration of polarizer use with wide angle - you will invariably get color gradient in the sky.

AJ - Pick on someone your own size....and the other two? Don't ask!

                            OK...some normal photos
