Sometimes there just isn't a good angle.
The camera makes you forget you're there. It's not like you are hiding but you forget, you are just looking so much.

Re: Borrego Springs Landscape Photography Workshop Photos

My wife and I had a blast this weekend. Thanks everyone for making the trip so much fun. Here are some of my favorite shots.

We had some fun painting with light on Saturday night.

If you look carefully you can see the spark that singed Nick's hair.

These shots were taken on Sunday at Ghost Mountain. For those of you who didn't go, you missed out.

Did you darken the sky in PS or is that your polarizer?

My wife and I also had a GREAT time. Lots of good people and fantastic food (Thanks Ty). My wife is looking forward to more of these workshops if they also include a cooking session.

Nice moody shots and great use of WB spinozaguy! Love the black background photo. Lburk...no photoshop in my photos...just correctly using the polarizer and selecting light colored subjects in direct sun. That way I can underexpose by a full stop to make the sky quite dark. Also remember that the polarizer is most effective if you are shooting at 90 degrees angle to the sun, which is how I picked my subjects.

As you'll recall in an earlier post, we had to leave early Sunday morning and therefore weren't able to make it to Ghost Mountain with most of you (will have to save that for another trip). Anyways, here are a few of the pics I did manage to take. Thanks, Ty, for the great lessons!

The camera doesn't make a bit of difference. All of them can record what you are seeing. But, you have to SEE.

Nice shots Chris! I like the deep color saturation and your use of polarizer to darken the sky and low angle shots. Sorry you missed the Ghost Mountain hike - great views of the desert from top of the mountain.
