  • Not The Workshop But Still From Borrego

I couldn't make it to the workshop last weekend, but I did make it out to Borrego today. Here's a few shots.

The camera makes you forget you're there. It's not like you are hiding but you forget, you are just looking so much.

What'd you do to the attachments man?

If I don't give you a hard time at some point then it just means I don't like you. It's all fun and games.

Fixed them. I tried to cheat and get more than five at a time. It didn't work.

          Nice shots, Lavern!

Blue sky looks nicer than anything we had in SD today.
I gotta get out there to see the flowers...been in SoCal for 5-6yrs now and still haven't seen them or the ones in Death Valley.
See my user profile for gear information. Then forget about that stuff and go take pictures! And then some more pictures!

Thanks Fix. It was a beautiful day. Clear, a little breezy and 72... What more could one ask for?

Great shots L. Need to get out there. Been here all my life and have never been. Maybe the wife and I can plan a trip.

Thanks Jeff. I love it out there. If I could make a living there I would move. If you get out there go to Henderson Canyon Road off the Salton Sea Expressway. Great flower fields and then you run into the metal sculptures. There are a lot more out there that I didn't shoot. They were all commissioned by (I believe) R. Stanton Avery (Avery labels) and are spread over somethin like a 10,000 acre area.

Will do. I go back to work starting Monday, but I go on days off starting next Sunday. Might try to get out there then. I heard the flowers are usually good through mid March?

The bloom should last throught the end of the month. It seems, even though the bloom is huge, it's still a little slow. You might have an extra week or two.
